Afternoon Session: University Introduction Session

Come and meet 20 UK universities in a speed-dating style in 60 minutes, where representatives will be giving a brief introduction about themselves, scholarships, and their course offerings. After the introduction, you may either book a one-to-one meeting (by indicating in the registration form) or visit them during the evening session to get your questions answered.
 

Evening Session: Study UK Webinar Series, 13 – 17 September
Time: 18.30 – 20.30 HKT (every day)

A series of live webinars covering useful information such as introduction to UK education system, application process (UCAS), personal statement writing, career support, and other subject specific topics will be organised throughout the roadshow week. Every night, there will be 4 different UK universities to talk about different topics jointly and provide admission advice. The IUMC has extensive experience helping international students to realise their dream of attaining a world-class medical education at some of Europe’s leading universities. Any query you may be facing about making this life-changing decision, we’ve likely faced it before! We hope that the following FAQ piece can help to clear up some questions you may have about making the choice to study at an Irish Medical School.

Do I need to sit the HPAT Exam?
Undergraduate students applying for non-EU Medicine places do not need to sit the HPAT exam. Students who apply for 4 year Graduate Entry Medicine need to sit the GAMSAT or MCAT.
When is the deadline to apply?
The deadline is January 15th for the first round of interviews in February. Late applications will be accepted on a case by case basis.

What are the minimum entry requirements?

Is there a discount through the IUMC system?

Yes, the IUMC have a special tuition fee discount for our students

What degrees are awarded by Irish medical schools?

Medicine: M.B. B.Ch. B.A.O Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics

Dentistry: BDS (University College Cork) and B. DENT. SC (Trinity College Dublin)

Is this degree recognised internationally?

Irish Degrees are held in high regard internationally and IUMC students have gone on to become leaders in Medicine and Dentistry worldwide.

What are the tuition fees?

Medicine: 2021 tuition fees range from 39,000 – 53,040 EUR
Dentistry: 2021 tuition Fees are 39,000 EUR

Is student accommodation available?

Yes, the IUMC assists our students with securing suitable accommodation.

What are the living costs in Ireland?

Living costs depend on where you are studying in Ireland, the type of accommodation you book, and the student’s personal lifestyle.  On average, we estimate that a student will spend between €10,000 and €13,000 per academic year.

How much is the application fee?

The application fee is 50 EURO. 

How to apply?

You can click ENQUIRE NOW on the IUMC website. Complete all the information and our team will get in touch with an application form and other important information. Candidates can then complete the application form and submit documents to our IUMC office.

Can I apply to more than one university?

Yes, you can apply to all 4 universities with the IUMC.

Innovation Fellows in Training Invite [October 2021]

The Innovation Fellows in Training program (I-FiT) this summer has been quite a success with 597 students from 23 countries participating!

We would like to invite you and your students to participate in a new I-FiT opportunity this October. ‘Change your World’ will be delivered by four Iowa State students who are leaders in innovation on campus.

How to sign up?

  • High schools are signed up by a school representative (counselor, administrator, or teacher).
  • The school representative will assist in coordinating and building the school teams.
  • Multiple student teams from the same high school can participate in each challenge (one registration per team is required).
  • There are no registration fees.
