Study Medicine in the UK and USA with
St. George’s University
Join St. George’s University School of Medicine and Medical Doorway during this virtual event on 1st July, 2021 for students looking for a future in medicine with entry into SGU’s 5-year MD program. Guest speaker Dr. James Coey, Course Director, Associate Chair and Associate Professor in Anatomy at St. George’s University in partnership with Northumbria University, will cover academics, admissions, and scholarships. We will also hear from SGU Alumna Dr. Tatum Jackson, MD ’20, who will share how SGU has helped shape her success.
The five-year medical degree program at St. George’s University, the premier Caribbean medical school, is designed specifically for students with Advanced Level or International Baccalaureate credentials who have a desire to become a doctor. SGU students have the opportunity to begin their medical education with SGU in Grenada, the United Kingdom, or India, with the three paths featuring the same curriculum and provide a strong foundation for SGU’s future physicians. The last two years have the option of doing clinical rotations either in the US or the UK. St. George’s University is truly an international institution and has contributed over 18,000 physicians to the global physician workforce, with students, graduates, and faculty from over 150 countries. They have practiced in every state in the US, as well as in more than 50 countries.
St. George’s University has been providing the world with highly trained doctors for more than 40 years. Founded as an independent School of Medicine in 1976, SGU pioneered the concept of international medical education. No other medical school in the world provides more new doctors to the US healthcare system*.
Students joining this virtual information session will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A and will hear about the next steps of the application process and how they can start their journey to becoming a doctor in August 2021 with the Grenada pathway, or September 2021 when choosing the UK or India pathways.
