UCL: Brexit Update & Virtual Open Week

Posted by heo

Brexit Update

As you may have seen, Universities Minister Michelle Donelan announced yesterday that, from academic year 2021/22, new students from the European Union, other EEA countries and Switzerland will no longer be eligible for ‘home’ fee status or financial support from Student Finance England. This does not affect current EU students or those that will join us in September 2020, who will continue to be eligible for home fee status for the duration of their programme.

I am so sorry that these changes will create additional barriers for EU, EEA and Swiss students who wish to join us here at UCL and also for you as you support your students into Higher Education. European students are and always have been an incredibly important part of our community and we hope to welcome many more in the future.

UCL Virtual Open Week – 20-25th July 2020

If students have not been able to book onto their subject sessions of choice during our first Virtual Open Week next week (some of them are fully booked), we have another one coming up in July, so they will not miss out. This will also include a separate session for parents and carers on the Saturday. Students can pre-register for more information here:

Any last-minute bookings for next week can be made via the same page.
