Brunel University London (UK) visiting DC – Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy

Prof John Cossar (Physiotherapy) and Kee Hean Lim (Occupational Therapy) from Brunel University London will be visiting HongKong.


Occupational Therapy at Brunel, part of the College of Health and Life Sciences.  Also the home to the original “London School of Occupational Therapy”. Our Occupational Therapy programme is the largest in London and one of the most highly-regarded in the world.


When you study Physiotherapy at Brunel you will be joining the largest Physiotherapy programme in London. Our BSc programmes produce graduates eligible to apply for professional registration necessary for clinical practice. You will be taught by staff who are clinical specialists, providing excellent links with prestigious London hospitals, sourcing a broad range of student clinical experience across a variety of healthcare settings. As active researchers staff promote evidence-based practice, educating students to critically evaluate the effectiveness of their interventions.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is organising a series of Public Lectures on topical issues central to 4 new undergraduate programmes to be introduced by CUHK in 2019, namely Chinese StudiesEarly Childhood EducationArtificial Intelligence: Systems and Technologies; and Data Science and Policy Studies.  Print copies of the invitation letter and event posters appended below have been sent to your school.

Our School of Design covers Industrial, Fashion, Communication and Innovation Design. With alumni including Apple’s Sir Jonathan Ive, principal designer of the iPad, iPhone and iMac, our design community examines design in the context of use, beauty and social and cultural contexts.

The Faculty of Science of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has been dedicated to promoting science to the general public, especially to young people.  In addition to our annual Popular Science Talks, where our faculty members give talks on cutting-edge topics of science, we are pleased to hold a special Popular Science Lecture Series every year on research that has garnered scientists recent Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, in Physics, and in Physiology or Medicine.  By explaining the science behind world-class scientific research, we hope to bring to life the sense of excitement and participation in the progress of science to senior secondary students and the general public.

This year, the Popular Science Special Lecture Series: How Nobel Prizes Are Won will be held on 30 November 2018 (Friday). To participate, please register through the on-line registration platform on or before 27 November 2018 (Tuesday).
