Academic Lecture: The presentation will focus on “courses in our Faculty and the careers available. Our Faculty offers undergraduate courses in Biology, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Psychology, Optometry, Nursing, Audiology and Speech and Hearing.”

Ms Kelly’s and Mr Tate’s Biology students will attend a lecture on ‘’How will we feed 9 billion people by 2050? Climate-smart rice?’’ by Professor Amanda Bamford from the University of Manchester. This talk explains how climate change will affect important crops around the world including rice. The talk will explain how plant scientists are coming up with solutions by developing rice varieties that can cope with extreme conditions.

The University of St Andrews was Scotland’s first university and only the third to be founded in the English-speaking world. It sits in the heart of the east coast town of the same name, in the Kingdom of Fife. Over 900 degree courses are now offered at the university, organised across four faculties: Arts, Divinity, Medicine, and Science. About a third of its 8,000 students come from Scotland while just under half are international, hailing from 120 different countries in total, and the university has some of the lowest drop-out rates in the country.

Wake Forest University is a private university located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, that is known for its small classes and faculty-student engagement. Undergraduate education consists of a liberal arts curriculum in Wake Forest College and classes in the School of Business. The university offers 40 majors and 57 interdisciplinary minors across various fields of study.
Wake Forest is made up of six schools. Its graduate programs include those in the highly ranked School of Law, School of Business and School of Medicine. Undergraduates are enrolled in either Wake Forest College or the business school. HKUST Business Young Stars – For Senior Secondary Students

The HKUST Business YoungStars (BYS) program is a 1-year program specially designed for senior secondary students who are interested to explore more about business study to get first-hand experience of what it is like to be an all-rounded business student at HKUST.
All Secondary 4 and 5 students (or equivalent) with keen interest in business are welcome to apply. There will be around 6 events organized on Saturday and members are required to attend 4 half-day events or more to obtain the attendance certificate.
