McGill Summer Academy in Hong Kong (August 1-6, 2018)


Founded in 1821, McGill University has a reputation for educational excellence that reaches around the globe. For the 12th consecutive year, McGill University is ranked 1st in Canada among medical-doctoral universities (Maclean’s 2017), and 32nd overall in the world (QS World University Rankings 2018).
For the first time, McGill University will be offering a summer academy outside of Canada. This programme offers learning opportunities for students aged 15-18 that foster curiosity about the natural, physical and social phenomena and prepare them for continuing learning at the university level. Upon completion of the programme, all students will receive a certificate of participation issued by McGill University.

List courses on offer include:

Medicines of the Future (Aug 1-3)
Toxicology: The Science of Poisons (Aug 4-6)
State-of-the-art Cryptography over the Whole Numbers (Aug 1-3)
Introduction to Quantum Mechanics (Aug 1-3)
Skills for Emerging Leaders (Aug 1-3)
Reading, Writing & Thinking Across the Disciplines (Aug 1-3)

Dates & Cost: Programmes will run from August 1-3 or August 4-6 from 9am-3:45pm . The 15-hour courses are priced at HK$6500/course and are taught by current McGill University academic staff.

Location: Canadian International School of Hong Kong, located at 36 Nam Long Shan Road. The school is located just a short walk from the Wong Chuk Hang MTR station (South Island Line).
