World Water Day at DC

Posted by Peter MUIR

World Water Day is a great opportunity to learn more about water and water related issues. By learning about water, we would be able to be inspired to tell others and take action to make a difference. World water day dates back to the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development where an observance for water was recommended. The United Nations general assembly responded by designating 22 March 1993 as the first World Water Day. Since then it has been held annually.

This year, for World Water Day, we Year 8 and Year 9 students will be organizing a quiz and a “Bucket Challenge” on water, to help students better understand water and water-related issues. A mystery prize will be included.

We look forward to your participation!
