Taking action on HK’s ivory trade

Each year, at least 30,000 elephants are killed in Africa for their tusks, primarily to satisfy the demand for ivory products in Asia. Hong Kong has just been revealed as the world’s number one city for ivory retailing: 30,856 ivory items were found on sale in its main tourist areas, far more than any other surveyed city.
