As part of her Personal Project, DC Year 11 student Chantel Woo is supporting the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council and working with them to visit elderly homes in the local community.

The elderly people that the Chantel’s volunteer group will be meeting are economically poor, and are in need of items that are basic necessities. Some examples of donations include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, socks, gloves – anything they might need on a daily basis! If you’ve been on a long-haul flight recently, and still have the free travel packs with toothpaste, a toothbrush and socks, donate that! If you’ve been gifted with a pair of gloves that aren’t quite your style and have been just sitting around, donate that!

On Thursday 3rd October and Friday 4th October, there will be a drive in the foyer where donations for the elderly people will be collected. The items you bring in will be personally delivered to the elderly in need, so please help out and bring in some items! Donations of any kind will be accepted and appreciated, as long as they are unused, appropriate for the elderly and still functional! We look forward to seeing you there!
