News Literacy

What is fake news?
Fake News can include a variety of news stories. Technically, it is news that is not at all true, but in reality, some news stories can consist of a combination of true facts and not true facts.

The key skill is knowing what to look for and consider when reading any piece of information and then having the ability to decide whether the piece can be trusted or not.

There are distinctions between completely invented news, clickbait (sensational headlines), highly biased pieces, misleading articles and satirical works. Edited or altered digital images also feature.
